We have rescheduled our Heritage Week wildflower event to Saturday 9th September 2023, 11am – 1pm
Join Roger Goodwillie, Botanist & Ecologist for a plant identification workshop at one of Laois’ NPWS Nature Reserves. Described as a wet woodland with ash, birch and alder, we’ll explore and learn the late Summer flowers (Meadowsweet, Water Lily, Water Mint and Purple-loosestrife) and hopefully see other native wildlife such as dragonflies, damselflies and duck associated with the lake.
A gentle walking trail measuring just over 2KM through the woods and around the lake. A free event but booking is essential.
