Indicator Flora and Fauna

We’re delighted to have produced this flyer to help improve identification and recording of indicator species on the Nore and its tributaries.  Its downloadable here NORE-VISION-FLORA-FAUNA-4-web and paper copies are available too.  We’ll have them at all our events so don’t hesitate to ask.

We encourage everyone to be aware of the flora and fauna around them, and to identify, record and submit recordings.  This is an important contribution that we can all make to protecting our biodiversity.

The NBDC app is really easy to use so we encourage everyone to have a go and make a very useful contribute to our national records.  www.wildflowersofireland.net is a great resource for identifying and learning about our native plant species and there are some good guide books available too and we recommend The Wildflowers of Ireland – a Field Guide.
